Senior Project Manager – Solar EPC

Location: Remote, Italy
Salary: €80,000–€100,000 + benefits
Project: 180 MW Solar PV – Sicily

Viridis Talent is working on behalf of a leading international Solar EPC that is expanding its operations across Italy.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take the lead on the delivery of a major 180 MW solar project in Sicily. This is a high-profile position with responsibility for the project from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.

The company has secured a strong pipeline of utility-scale solar projects across Italy, offering genuine long-term progression beyond the initial project.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the 180 MW project.

  • Manage programme, budget, quality, contractual performance and project risk.

  • Coordinate internal engineering, procurement and construction teams.

  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and site management.

  • Maintain strong relationships with the client and other project stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with Italian regulations, HSE standards and contractual requirements.

  • Provide clear reporting to senior management.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Extensive project management experience within utility-scale solar.

  • A proven record of delivering large EPC or renewable energy construction projects.

  • Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

  • Professional fluency in Italian and English.

  • Availability to travel regularly to the project site in Sicily.
